M Rey is an English oil painter whose work explores the boundary between reality, memory and the subconscious. His paintings invite viewers into an unreasonable world — an alternative realm where distorted figures, enclosed spaces and hidden emotional states create a sense of isolation, tension and unease.
His work blurs the line between the visible and the unseen. Figures appear trapped within the borders of the canvas, suspended in disturbing, dreamlike worlds where the viewer can only observe.
